The San Jose State University Premedical Club

premed tshirt net2.JPG (81449 bytes) HOW DO YOU LIKE OUR NEW WEBSITE?  We've recently acquired this Web space to help our members keep up with the latest on medical info, professions and services.  This semester marked the beginning of the next phase of the premed club: providing for it's members.  This semester, we've designed a T-shirt (above) to help us further our goals of becoming the best club on campus; e-mail us with your comments. Of course, we need help, that's what this web site is for.  So, please support the club by buying these tee shirts and volunteering to help out with your time or ideas on new projects. Our officers are always available via e-mail (addresses below) if any subjects need addressing.  Feel free to contribute ideas for this site, its' yours too.

We would appreciate a full attendance to our meetings, however, we understand that is not always possible.  So if you can't manage to make the meetings, please feel free to contact another member or any of the officers listed below for the information you may have missed.  Also, people have commented on the food provided for you.  We would appreciate suggestions to better vary the content of our meals.  We feel that's important to do, but our current budget limits our choices, perhaps one day this semester we could have a potluck. Please give us your ideas.

Statement of Purpose and Membership Info
dna.jpg (12765 bytes) PURPOSE:   The premedical club provides premed students with the information about recommended academic classes, medical schools, MCAT tests, and different medical specialties through a variety of guest speakers, discussion, pamphlets, booklets, and occasional trips to medical and educational facilities.  We arrange for speakers and events that supply valuable information about application to medical school and undergraduate premedical education.   Additionally, we attempt to facilitate an environment free from "cutthroat" competition, wherein, students may cooperate actively with each other in pursuing a common goal: admission to medical school.

MEMBERSHIP:   If you are interested in or have begun your journey to medical school ( and are completely lost), then this is the organization for you!  Please come to any of our announced meetings, and ask any of the officers about membership.  The club dues are $5.00 per semester (that's $10. per school year).  This fee is due and payable to: SJSU Premedical Club.  This fee helps support extracurricuar activities such as social nights, fieldtrips, as well as other current projects for active members.  An active member is one who pays their dues, attends a majority of the meeetings, and participates in such activities listed above. Membership cards will be given for each semester paid.

NOTE:  Attendance is absolutely taken at every meeting,  so please be sure to note that you were present.  If you have any questions concerning the SJSU Premedical Club, contact :
